Our Goal
We envision building the capacity of four higher education institutions in Lao PDR in the field of resilient agriculture, towards the country's effective adaptation to climate change
Our Objectives
1. Developing courses
4 innovative modular courses on intelligent geotechnologies and their application on climate-resilient and adaptable agricultural practices
2. Strengthening
Lao academic staff’s skills and competences; students’ engagement; stakeholders’ skills and competences; hybrid teaching and learning
3. Detailed crop type mapping
Annual detailed crop type mapping of selected areas under climate anomalies; students will be actively engaged in well-designed field campaigns
4. Course piloting
Evaluation and fine-tuning of the new courses prior to full-scale implementation
5. Course accreditation
Approval of the new courses by Lao HEI departments and incorporation in curricula
6. Course implementation
160 Lao HEI students will be trained in the last year of the project
7. Equipping laboratories
Creating/upgrading geotechnology and e-learning infrastructure in 4 Lao HEIs
8. Building training capacity
52 members of HEI staff will be trained on e-learning and teaching the new courses
9. Dissemination
Maximising outreach: website; social media; workshops; presentations
10. Exploitation of results
Sustainability Action Plan, networking of Lao HEIs with Associated Partners; 1000 students and stakeholders will be trained within 5 years after the project
Our Consortium
INTEGRAL is implemented by a consortium consisting of two European higher education institutions and four institutions in Lao PDR.

The consortium includes three non-academic, associated partners in Lao PDR, contributing to specific project activities: the Departments of Agriculture Land Management and Forestry of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Lao PDR, and Village Focus International.
