The Erasmus Capacity Building project INTEGRAL, focusing on Intelligent Geotechnologies for Resilient Agricultural Adaptation to Climate Change in Lao PDR, held a significant joint management meeting on December 15, 2023.
During the meeting, representatives from all universities participating in the project (National Technical University of Athens, Lund University, National University of Laos, Savannakhet University, Souphanouvong University, Champasack University), and all management committees of the project, convened online to review progress and plan activities for 2024.
Significant achievements during the project's initial months include the design of four new innovative courses on intelligent geotechnologies, the establishment of geotechnology and e-learning infrastructure in Lao PDR universities, setting up the project's management structure and quality assurance and control strategy, and launching the project’s website and Facebook page.
Looking ahead to the first semester of 2024, project plans include:
- Finalizing the setup of geotechnology and e-learning infrastructure in Lao PDR universities.
- Completing the development and pilot evaluation of the first version of course materials for the new university courses.
- Training Lao PDR university faculty on e-learning and teaching the new courses.
- Preparing for full-class implementation of the courses in Lao PDR universities.
- Developing and implementing the project's communication and dissemination strategy.
- Conducting an interim external review of the project.
