The INTEGRAL Athens Meeting, held from February 24 to 27, 2025, at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), convened project partners to advance the “Intelligent Geotechnologies for Resilient Agricultural Adaptation to Climate Change in Lao PDR” capacity-building initiative.

Welcome address by the project coordinator
Now in its third year, the project has entered a critical phase focused on the full-scale implementation of the newly developed intelligent geotechnology courses across four Lao PDR universities: the National University of Laos, Savannakhet University, Souphanouvong University, and Champasack University.

Session on teaching the course "Intelligent SDIs for Resilient Agriculture and Adaptation"

Session on teaching the course "Earth Observation and Monitoring of the Agricultural Landscape"
During the meeting, Lao PDR partners engaged with colleagues from NTUA and Lund University to exchange perspectives on course delivery and participated in training sessions covering intelligent spatial data infrastructures, artificial neural networks, convolutional neural networks, crop type mapping, and earth observation techniques using drones. Parallel project meetings addressed implementation progress, dissemination strategies, and future planning. In addition, Lao delegations met with NTUA leadership to explore internationalization practices and gained valuable insights into academic life at NTUA and the cultural heritage of Athens.
